Confluence Quilt - Rainforest Version

All real living is meeting.

Design Inspiration

“Eudaimonia” is the Greek word for “human flourishing.” Eudaimonia Studio designs are inspired by the ancient question of what it means to live well. The Confluence quilt is inspired by the philosophy of genuine encounter and the idea that life’s richest meaning is found not within the self, but at the crossing points where we meet others fully, as they are, without asking them to become us. Like the intersections of this quilt, where every color shows up whole and distinct against the common ground that holds them all, we are most alive

Details & Techniques

The Confluence design includes a total of nine colors: background plus eight colors. It is made using yardage for background alongside the option for quarter yard cuts, fat quarters, or jelly roll strips for the colors. Since there is no specific placement for color fabrics, this pattern offers the opportunity to play with various color arrangements, and even to add in more than the eight colors as instructed for a scrappier quilt that makes use of 2½"strips from your stash.

The Confluence quilt is perfect for the confident beginner who is still expanding their skills but ready to take the next step in their quilting journey. The pattern makes a 54” x 66” throw - and it’s free!

Fabrics

The Rainforest version features a vibrant shade of green that creates a lush base, inspired by dense tropical foliage. Pops of pink, coral, blue, and teal weave throughout, adding contrast and energy like tropical plants in a rainforest.

Quilting

This quilt was longarmed by Chelsea LeBouton using the Monstera #2 Pantograph by Sew Shabby Pantos. We wanted to lean into the vibrant rainforest theme with this monstera leaf pantograph, with a pop of neon green thread!
